Syllabus
This page provides an outline of the current grading syllabus. Gradings will not be restricted to the following techniques, but the list provides a good starting place for what you should bve prepared to demonstrate. Each grade requires a knowledge of all the lower grade material in addition to that listed.

| 4th kyu (Blue belt) | Three variations on each of the principles |
| 3rd kyu (Brown belt) | Five variations on each of the principles |
| 2nd kyu (Brown belt) | Five defences against each of five directions of knife attack |
| 1st kyu (Brown belt) | Nidangi suwari waza |
| 1st Dan (Black belt) | Nidangi tachi waza |
Principles
Many of the gradings require the student to demonstrate their understanding of jujutsu be demonstrating their own variations on each of the following principles:
| Hakko Dori | Escape through an opening |
| Shodan | Basic shodan wrist bend |
| Nidan | Basic nidan wrist bend |
| Ogoshi | Hip throw |
| Shimete | Strangulation |
| Hiji | Techniques against the elbow joint |
| Ubi | Techniques against the fingers |
| Niho nage | Basic niho nage throw |
| Aiki nage | Basic aiki nage throw |
| Atemi waza | The incorporation of striking techniques |
